This new one is my third Bandit, after the 2001 and 2007 models.
This is a comfortable, semi-sporty bike with open ergonomics and a riding position that allows you to move around to avoid NBS (Numb Butt Syndrome).
That's good, because the seat's good for about two hours (the only reason for a four-star rating -- it's really comfortable otherwise).
Performance is a similar deal -- very good torque, but a little weak on the top-end (okay, my other bike's a Ducati Multistrada, so I'm a bit jaded), so it earns four stars.
But rest assured, you will get your money's worth, and then some. By all means consider the taller touring screen (National Cycle also makes a very nice Vstream for the Bandit, which I can recommend).
It's not a Gixxer or a 'Busa, but it's a very solid all-around bike with more than enough comfort for a daily commute, a weekend run through the canyons or even a two-up weekend tour.
If there can only be one, this would be the one to get, because it can do just about anything for you. Highly recommended!
Upgrades/Accessories: HID or LED upgrade for the already excellent headlamp, Vstream windscreen, and maybe a set of soft bags for weekend fun!
