I just bought the New Foreman this past weekend and already think it is by far the best ATV Honda ever designed! The ride is smooth and handles amazing.
I'm not afraid to come around corners and power slide all the way around them. It balances great climbing over small hills, ditches, logs, etc.
The throttle response is great and there is no hesitation at all. Shifting into 4x4 is very easy, you could shift it in with one finger.
It has a check engine light, 4x4 light, change oil light, temp light, gear position and speedometer all in digital. The LED brake lights are very bright and it has far range headlights!
I have driven and owned some of the older Formans, Rancher 350 and 420 and this Foreman handles and beats the Ranchers and old Foremans in anything!
I liked the Rincon 680 but the Foreman seems to handle better to me, and I'm not a big fan of the weight of the Rincon 680.
I chose to buy the Foot shift because I've had the ES "Electric Shift" on my 2005 Rancher and it worked great for the first 180 hours but would then get stuck in between gears every now and then.
The Hondamatic is a good transmission but I've never been a big fan. Im short by now Honda has fixed the problems but I personally like the old school foot shift.
Upgrades/Accessories: ITP 589's on delta steel wheels all the way around, and champion winch. The Maxis tires that come on it were great and are really smooth. I kept the Maxis tires for when I'm just riding but I need something more aggressive for when I'm in the swamp.
I stay away from the water but I can't stay away from the mud to get to my stand. These Maxis tires did decent but I still got stuck on the way out. With the 589s it pulled right threw the mud.
I wish Honda would put more aggressive tires on them. Since they seem to like using Maxis, the Maxis Zilla would be perfect for most riders and they ride and perform well.
