I raced 3-wheelers 18 years ago and have not owned an ATV before, so my reference point may be skewed. I have ridden a few utes and they just do not do it for me. The Z400 will pull the front wheels up at will, jumps nice, handles great, and is quite comfortable. I like the transmission. Shifting is very smooth. I like the power band, very broad and hits really hard in the mid and upper range where it stands out. This is perfect for riding my tight trials. Everything that I expected, wanted, and needed. I am perfectly satisfied.
